Healing Metaphors A-Z - Eczema

Eczema
Eczema is a common allergic reaction that shows up as red, dry, itchy and burning skin. It signifies that we have a resistance to letting go of certain personalities that contain their own goals and ways of thinking and acting. We are trying to change, as if we are ‘molting’ to reveal a new level, but we haven’t gotten over the previous situation. Something in life and/or about ourselves is irritating us. Life, situations or relationships have gotten under our skin. It’s time to shift. Sometimes this condition can reflect irritation about our mother and her misperception of us. We may be using this situation to hide our own misperception of ourselves. The area of the body that is affected can give us more information about the specific issue involved.
