Healing Metaphors A-Z - Rheumatism

Rheumatism
Rheumatism is a general term for acute and chronic conditions that are characterized by inflammation. Examples are arthritis, sore and stiff muscles, and pain in joints. Suffering from Rheumatism means that we have general, unresolved anger issues, which have sought an outlet in the body because we are not prepared to experience them any other way. The anger has often come about as a result of a replay of past shattered dreams. We feel that neither we, nor our dreams, have lived up to their potential. We are stuck in wanting things to be a certain way, and so are controlling rather than communicating. We have old issues with our mother whom we may have judged as bad or toxic. This could possibly have affected how we nurtured our children. Under all of these feelings, we still have soul level gifts within us. Through our forgiveness, or the giving-forth of these gifts, we can support our mother and free ourselves.
