Healing Metaphors A-Z - Phlebitis

Phlebitis
Phlebitis is the inflammation of a vein as a result of acute or chronic infection, postoperation complications or childbirth. Phlebitis indicates a problem with the amount of time we give to ourselves. We feel overloaded and stressed, overwhelmed by pressure and demands. We are suppressing the anger that we feel about all the work we have to do, such as the huge commitment needed after childbirth. We feel like we have lost ourselves and our life because of the demands of the situation. Yet while we seem to have lost the vein of our life, we are being presented with an opportunity for maturity. This is a chance to give up being vain by bringing balance to our life. If we can get through this then we can make a new beginning, in a different vein, and reach a new level of partnership in our life.
