This vid is depressing

 Aug. 2017

Chuck Spezzano's "Card of the day" for Sept. 27, 2010:

[Update 6/13/2018: This is now a dead link. The Sept. 27, 2010 "card" was replaced with a different topic in 2018, and in a delicious irony, the topic was "True Identity"]

Depression and Loneliness
Who needs your help?

Depression is cited by the World Health Organization as a leading contributor to the "global burden of disease". Depression is a major human problem. Many of us have suffered from depression at some point in our lives and some of us contend with chronic depression too. Most of us know someone who is depressed. We can help.

"Depression is closely associated with a lack of self-esteem, depression is our refusal to go on in life after experiencing a loss, a shattered dream or a major disappointment"

The "card" was accompanied by one of Spezzano's Spar Street studio presentations on the topic of depression:

You've lost your good figure, man. Are you comfort eating? This vid is depressing......hows your sex life with all that blubber....? I'm serious- maybe this is a sanity issue for me, eh? that I like to be healthy...? like the health experts say that the western world has an obesity issue caused by overeating, while millions starve? Now isn't THAT depressing?

In many cases Allen's comments would be considered fat-shaming but in this case I believe Spezzano is fair game. Chuck is his brand and his product is healing and health. Chuck Spezzano is not even close to being a good example of good health and self-care. He obviously does not walk his talk.

In my experience it is quite rare to see one of Spezzano's "card of the day" posts to be retroactively removed and replaced, especially after such a long time span. I wonder what the reasons were behind this decision?

POV and their circle obviously reads our blog. It is not unusual to see inconvenient truths about POV be deleted from the online world shortly after we highlight them.
