Pneumonia is an inflammation of the lung caused by infection by microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses. Pneumonia represents a ‘new moan’ in the midst of all other losses. There is a new loss – a truly profound sorrow – and we seem to be drowning in feelings of grief.
