Lynne Franks Becomes a Psychology of Vision Client

UK publicist and writer Lynne Franks is most famous in pop culture for allegedly being the real-life inspiration for the Edina Monsoon character in the TV comedy Absolutely Fabulous.

In the 1990s Franks went to a POV workshop in Hawaii. Chuck Spezzano is both described as a "para-psychologist" and a "relationships psychologist" in her book Absolutely Now. Franks also describes what appears to be the Lency Spezzano "joining" method.

The work was originally published in 1997 and this following selection comes from the updated 2014 edition.

many women who are broken down at these workshops lose their healthy boundaries and end up having flirtatious experiences with other participants that can lead to affairs which creates confusion and can ruin marriages. This type of intimacy break down does not protect the participant from being vulnerable and engaging in acts that you generally wouldn't on a normal day. People start taking risks without thinking and forget their personal reasons for self care.Having affairs with participants just complicates your life plus confuses you about why you are there. This defeats the original purpose of seeking help, women become targets at these workshops, men who know this attend these workshops hoping to benefit and hit on the weak females. The dynamics are unhealthly and can become reckless.
