NAFPS Selections: I have, thankfully, never received “deeksha” or a so-called “Oneness Blessing” from anyone affiliated with POV

[From the New Age Frauds and Plastic Shamans forum, by "Piff," January 05, 2014]:

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chuck Spezzano has described Visionary Leaders Canada (Prince Rupert, BC, Canada, run by two POV trainers Betty Lou Hunt and Joanne Roberts, they also run Cornerstone Wellness) as "Just an amazing group of people with a beautiful vision to move First Nations and Business forward! Do check them out!"

Hunt and Roberts in various promo literature for events, brochures, flyers, and online, have used several paragraphs of text from someone attributed as "Oneness by Rasha". Especially when it is the event description it would be easy to assume that this is from a POV member, or at least done by permission.

But it turns out that Rasha is not allied with POV, in fact she critiqued "Oneness University" and deekshas back in 2007. (scroll down to August 2007 http://www.onenesswebsite.com/speak.html ). And she did not give Hunt & Roberts permission to use her work.

Rasha gave us an official statement:

Quote

"The book entitled Oneness, which I transcribed, is not associated in any way with any other teacher, guru, or organization that may also be using the name “Oneness.”  I have, thankfully, never received “deeksha” or a so-called “Oneness Blessing” from anyone affiliated with POV or the group in India calling themselves “Oneness University." I do not wish to have unsuspecting, sincere spiritual seekers confuse the pure teachings of Oneness, who some people consider to be God, with the agenda of that organization." Rasha

Hunt and Roberts are no longer POV trainers.

That has something of a condescending missionary ring to it.
