Although he says Chuck Spezzano is his "great friend, " author and coach Robert Holden is apparently unaware his pal is not a psychologist and was in fact fined by the State of Hawaii in 2004 for pretending to be one. Holden has called Spezzano a "psychologist" more than once in public. The blog entry below is an excerpt from Holden's book Loveability where he also claims responsibility for widening Chuck's audience.
By not critically investigating the subject of his admiration Holden has demonstrated he needs to be a little more thorough in his research before he (unintentionally, I'm sure) sets out in print to inflate the credentials of those he praises.
We have seen this pattern over and over with numerous people in Spezzano's circle who have spent years with him and yet somehow have the false impression Chuck is a "psychologist." How did this happen?
