Healing Metaphors A-Z - Tics

Tics
Tics are spasmodic, repetitive muscular contractions. Tics reflect anxiety, frustration, pushing ourselves, and the idol of hard work, usually because this is a repeating pattern in our life that we haven’t dealt with. Anger about the situation has been turned inward, generating fear and nervousness and so we feel inadequate to handle the situation. We are putting time pressure on ourselves; tic, tic, tic… like a clock. Only stepping forward to a new level would truly relieve this pressure as there would be new levels of ease and organization that come from the next step.

"tic, tic, tic… like a clock" -- get it? Another bit of cruel and insensitive wordplay by Chuck, who probably patted himself on the back for being so clever.

Using his own formula I can say with confidence Spezzano himself is a bloated tick. Get it?
