Healing Metaphors A-Z - Bells palsy

Bells palsy
The physical cause of Bells palsy is unknown. It is a condition that results in sudden onset of unilateral facial paralysis. Having this condition means that there is something that we are ‘paralyzed with fear’ to face. If the right side of our face is affected, it means that the issue involves our purpose: what our soul came to do in our life and what we want to do in our career. If the condition has affected the left side, it means that we are paralyzed with fear by an issue connected with relationship or intimacy.

If we are suffering from Bells Palsy then there is something that we are ‘shame faced’ about. This shame is keeping us self-conscious and stuck. Paralysis is a construct of fear and it represents where we have become literally immobilized or frozen. Our fear of change is holding us back from a birth to a whole new level.

"Shamed faced." How inanely guilt inducing.
