displacing our natural attachments to cult leader is not healing but dependency that only serves the cult leader to have more control over you. Anyone who is conducting true healing would be encouraging you to bond with your birth relatives not with them selves. Putting a wedge between the participant and family is he first step to recruitment, to make them want you instead of your real loved ones. Remember that they POV company will not be there when you need them!
Chuck should be called Uncle ManiFester, who like Uncle Fester can stick a lightbulb in an orifice and make it flash. But in Uncle ManiFester's case that orifice would be his anus, the same place where he pulls out all of his "facts."
