The REAL Founder of Psychology of Vision

Ibn al-Haytham (c. 965-c. 1040) was something of a Renaissance Man long before the Renaissance. He lived in Iraq and Egypt.

The following academic paper includes a sentence: "Ibn al-Haytham is the founder of the Psychology of Vision."

It is truly sad that this "Psychology of Vision" term has been appropriated by a for-profit rinky-dink capitalist scam cult designed to fill the bank account of two already financially bloated Americans who have no problem stealing the ideas of others, frequently without giving due credit. Also the name as employed by the Spezzanos suggests that it is staffed by professional psychologists, which is not the case. Chuck Spezzano's Ph.D. in "Professional Psychology" was not accredited by the APA, he has never been licensed as a "psychologist" in Hawaii, and that state fined him in 2004 for posing as a professional.

Let's give "Psychology of Vision" back to the man who deserves the recognition for doing something truly original and contributing science-based ideas that have lasted for over a thousand years.
