Here's a link to an article by alternative healer Virginia Rosenberg, who calls out her colleagues on their inherent racism and sense of entitlement. She also offers solutions for what they can do about it. Many parts of her thought-provoking essay could easily have been written specifically about Psychology of Vision, Steps to Leadership, the Spezzanos, and the Healing Metaphors A-Z.

Ms. Rosenberg represents a new era in alternative healing, making the New Age marketers like the Spezzanos seem not so "New" any more.
What I like about her post is that she not only presents the problems with POV type of habitual thinking, but offers mostly reality-based based solutions. She also places an emphasis on a word we never see in Psychology of Vision: Justice. Good for her.
Although my world view of how things work is different than hers, I do respect her frankness and actually share many of her goals.
I suspect Rosenberg is sincere here and I'll give my Debbie Downer perspective in the face of such idealism, although I hope she never stops trying. The Old New Age is full of frauds and con artists like the Spezzanos. The first step in accepting Rosenberg's offered solutions would be for flim-flam people like POV folks to admit they were wrong in the first place. That is never going to happen with POV. In doing so they would open themselves to all sorts of litigation, especially after being so vigorous in defending their scam. And there are plenty of other confidence tricksters out there like just them, Erick Gonzalez, and Christopher de Guzman "Trinity" for example. A lot of sociopaths are drawn to starting their own little empires and there seems to be no shortage of vulnerable, desperate and fragile people willing to sign up for these fleece jobs.
Rosenberg's post is one of the most refreshing and radical I have seen within the alternative healing universe. If that world wants to gain more acceptance, they need to shed themselves of bloated ticks like Chuck Spezzano. Good luck with that.
Psychology of Division is not into para-psychology, they are into parasite-chology. Using POV as an example, it is easy to paint all alternative healers as greedy frauds. Thank you Ms. Rosenberg for being willing to challenge the status quo within your ranks.
The Spezzanos self-inflated importance of creating a "cultural Renaissance" wherever they go is just another form of American Manifest Destiny particularly in Asia and First Nations. The only thing "cutting edge" here is how much they cut into and destroy the traditional fabric of whatever culture they are attempting to undermine and profit from.
The previous comment on De Guzman offers a contrast. "Trinity" is a con artist in the embryonic state, while Spezzano is a seasoned fraud in his decline, yet both share a bold disregard for truth, honor, accountability, responsibility, or any sense of shame.
Toss in that slimeball in a sea of pus named Erick Gonzalez and you have three clowns who have no problem appropriating the sacred beliefs and practices of other cultures in order to increase their profit margin.
Rub a dub dub, three men in a tub.

Much of the New Age nonsense since the 1970s, including Psychology of Vision, has been built around white people with self-proclaimed special powers telling those in other cultures how to act and charging big bucks for the honor of believing their bullshit.
Chuck and Lency are two old grizzled grifters who would've been in jail by now in the other 49 states, but as it is they escaped justice by living in the oasis for crackpot frauds called Hawaii. A more incompetent and byzantine USA state government has yet to be invented.
This does explain why POV has made no inroads into the mainland USA. They would be torn to shreds by consumer protection laws that Hawaii is too lazy or incompetent to enforce.
POV has been enabled by the Hawaiian State government. When the shit hits the fan, and it will very soon in a public way, the State of Hawaii won't really come off as a responsible agent of the public good.
Spezzano has the White Savior narrative running through his head, particularly in dealing with First Nations and Native Hawaiians.
