Psychology of Vision Hates Oneness University

The following two quotes make it very clear Psychology of Vision is not to be confused with Oneness University. Although, contrary to what the Spezzanos say, documents provided on this blog demonstrate that Oneness University had a major impact on POV for several years. For reasons yet known to the general public POV made a decision to erase all references to Oneness University and Sri Bhagavan and Amma from their online promotional literature and resumes. But a good researcher can still find a few traces here and there, POV missed some spots in the purge.

"What Is The Nature of The Relationship Between Psychology of Vision And Oneness University?

There is no relationship between the two organizations. Some of us attended healing programs there years ago, but for a number of reasons it felt true to me to distance Psychology of Vision from Oneness U. For about a year after making that decision, I stated in my seminars that I did not recommend that people attend their programs."

--Lency Spezzano

"My parents also have NO affiliation whatsoever with Oneness University. They and some of their students attended some of their courses a number of years ago, but were shocked and disgusted to learn about some of their practices. My mom actually spearheaded a campaign to learn and expose the truth about Oneness University. My parents do not support their practices, community, or methods. They have wanted nothing to do with that organization once they had an opportunity to learn more about them. They adamantly steer people away from that organization, their practices, and beliefs. They would NOT want their students to be affiliated with that organization in any capacity."

--Christopher Spezzano

Yet there remain several POV followers, some of them trainers, who still profess to like Oneness University and continue to perform Deeksha blessings (a practice that did not exist in POV until the Spezzanos attended OU in 2007). So obviously these POV trainers and followers have been able to reconcile these differences and move on in spite of the Spezzano opinions, if indeed they were even aware of this schism. The POV split from Oneness University, which was once counted as one of their two "greatest inspirations" is fascinating, as well as the tremendous effort spent in minimizing and covering up their past association. Why did they do this? What happened, and when?

Personally I cannot spot what the big problem is. As far as I can see POV and OU are pretty much the same sort of business. So this interests me and I want to be educated on this issue.

The gentleman in the website below that I am including as a good example is just one of several who has a foot in both camps, which is fairly common to see in Internet. POV and OU overlap to the same customer market a good deal of the time:

I guess there are limits to Oneness.

"..but for a number of reasons it felt true to me to distance Psychology of Vision from Oneness U."

And what reasons might those be?

"... were shocked and disgusted to learn about some of their practices."

Such as?

"My mom actually spearheaded a campaign to learn and expose the truth about Oneness University. My parents do not support their practices, community, or methods."

There is no online evidence of any such campaign, so it must have been pretty low key. When exactly did this campaign start? Documents on this blog indicate POV loved OU from 2007 to at least 2010 and probably longer. So what is this "truth" about Oneness University? What OU practices and methods do the Spezzano's find objectionable?

One answer to the question of the reasons behind the POV split from OU might be found in this link, particularly the segment regarding 2010 public revelations about OU by some popular Western New Age authors (not the Spezzanos):

Since the Spezzanos have always been copycats, never leaders, they were simply following the fashion of the day. OU had become box office poison to the sort of consumer base POV is trying to groom. The dates correspond with the documents here. Or at least that is my interpretation.

There is no question the Spezzanos are downplaying the importance OU had on influencing their corporation.

The namby-pamby Nixonian tale told by the Spezzanos regarding Oneness University is obviously a spin trying to diminish the fact they fell under the spell of a con game even bigger than POV. It is pretty funny when you think about it. Con artists being conned by con artists, and obviously the Spezzanos are ashamed of being outclassed and made fools of by superior grifters so of course they will do all they can to erase all trace of their connection. So much better than just taking responsibility and admitting they made a mistake-- but I guess that isn't in the Spezzano DNA. Just like Donald Trump. Coverup and denial rules over the truth.

Yes, POV is indeed very bush-league when compared to the Oneness University business enterprise. It makes me wonder how POV hopes to achieve Oneness when they reject the very institution that provided half of their "greatest inspiration" while still incorporating a considerable amount of OU philosophy in their structure.

Psychology of Vision is a fickle and unoriginal corporation, riding on whatever fad comes their way and stealing all their concepts from others.

It all boils down to money.

Oneness University is now part of the "O & O Academy"

"O&O Academy is founded by two generations of world-renowned spiritual leaders. Sri Amma & Sri Bhagavan, come together with their son and daughter-in-law, Krishnaji & Preethaji, modern philosopher sages, to create this magnificent school for the transformation of human consciousness.

Sri Amma & Sri Bhagavan created Oneness University as a way of transformation through the Power of Source. Krishnaji & Preethaji created One World Academy as a way of transformation through the Power of One Consciousness. O&O Academy is the coming together of both these Powers.

At O&O Academy seekers undertake a profound, transformational, inward journey from living in ‘i-consciousness’ to ‘One Consciousness’. As one evolves on this path of Awakening, life overflows with abundance, impossibilities become realities, relationships are built with love, and organizations are directed by a spiritual vision. The seeker’s journey culminates in becoming a Philosopher Teacher who serves as a guiding light to the world."

Why do the Spezzanos hate Amma and Bhagavan? They used to worship and revere them and even called Oneness University one of their greatest inspirations. What gives?
