What was the bullet they dodged?
Disengagement is another form of compartmentalizing and dissociation. This is sending sort of a mixed message to his followers wouldn't you say? Wouldn't absorbing data and learning from your critics be a way of growing and maturing? Spezzano's Catholic paternalism is obvious here. Keep the followers in a child-like state of being.
